The house

DILSH was started quietly,
in a small room.

The first cut was an ivory linen dress, made by hand in Colombo. The house still begins there: with cloth on a table, patient fittings, and garments that choose proportion over spectacle.

Everything is small-batch by necessity, not by marketing. We make tight edits, release them slowly, and keep the finish visible for the person who notices it years later.

DILSH borrows from warm rooms, shaded verandahs, and evening dressing that does not need to announce itself. The work is quiet, but never careless.

House note 01

Cut for movement, not performance.

DILSH begins with the body in motion: shoulders lowering, fabric warming, a garment settling into the day. The pieces avoid spectacle and choose proportion, weight, and finish instead.

Cut for movement, not performance.

House note 02

Small runs, visible decisions.

Each release is built as a tight edit. Cloth is chosen for hand feel and longevity; seams are finished for the person who notices them years later.

Small runs, visible decisions.

House note 03

Colombo light, editorial restraint.

The house borrows from warm rooms, shaded verandahs, and evening dressing that does not need to announce itself.
